At oral doses of up to 10 times the human dose, cyclobenzaprine did not adversely affect the reproductive performance or fertility of male or female rats. Cyclobenzaprine did not demonstrate mutagenic activity in the male mouse at dose levels of up to 20 times the human dose.

This medicine is a orange, oblong, capsule imprinted with “logo and Cephalon” and “15 mg”. Since overdosage is often deliberate, patients mayattempt suicide by other means during the recovery phase. Safety and effectiveness of FLEXERIL in pediatricpatients below 15 years of age have not been established.

Call your doctor or local poison control center if you think you’ve taken too much of this drug. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately if your symptoms are severe. Cyclobenzaprine oral tablet can interact with other medications, vitamins, or herbs you may be taking. An interaction is when a substance changes the way a drug works. This can be harmful or prevent the drug from working well. Cyclobenzaprine may be used as part of combination therapy.

Based on individual patient response, the dose may beincreased to 10 mg three times a day. Use of FLEXERIL for periods longer than twoor three weeks is not recommended. Of note, 1 study demonstrated significant improvement in choosing an alcohol rehab treatment program pain scores with treatment; however, no significant differences were seen compared to placebo Alencar 2014. AUC increased ~2.4-fold in elderly males and ~1.2-fold in elderly females with immediate-release cyclobenzaprine.

Do not use Flexeril if you have taken an MAO inhibitor in the past 14 days. Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once daily. Doing so can release all of the drug at once, increasing the risk of side effects.

Rinse the mouth to make sure all of the medicine have been swallowed. Do not take more of it and do not take it more often than your doctor ordered. To do so may increase the chance of serious side effects. Do not flush medications down the toilet or pour them into a drain unless instructed to do so. Properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed.

Acute recovery phase of myocardial infarction, andpatients with arrhythmias, heart block or conduction disturbances, or congestive heart failure. Other potential effects of overdosage include any of thesymptoms listed under ADVERSE REACTIONS. It is not known whether this drug is excreted in humanmilk. Because cyclobenzaprine is closely related to the tricyclicantidepressants, some of which are known to be excreted in human milk, caution shouldbe exercised when FLEXERIL is administered to a nursing woman.
